Miss Ford is the new fourth grade teacher at NBCS. She was born in Blacksburg, Virginia.  After a while, Miss Ford’s family moved to California, and later moved to Rochester, New York.  When Miss Ford was growing up, there were a lot of jobs she wanted to do.  First, she wanted to be a teacher.  Then she wanted to be a High School Music Conductor, a High School English teacher, an actress, and lastly, a fourth grade teacher. Miss Ford wanted to do those jobs because she loves children, and also because she likes captivating an audience full of people.

Miss Ford’s favorite subject in school was English because she loved to read and write. Science was her least favorite subject because it was hard for her. Her hobbies are playing piano and guitar, singing, reading, jogging with her dog, and going to the beach.   In her free time, Miss Ford likes to go to coffee shops, eat food, and get in good conversations with her friends.  She has a couple favorite books. The first one is Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy. Her second favorite book (and her favorite movie) is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin. Miss Ford’s favorite play is La Bete by David Hirson. She likes those books because they contain distinguished, lovable characters, and also because the writers have clever, sophisticated, articulate writing styles.

In Miss Ford’s family, there are her mom and dad, and younger siblings Jimi and Rebekah.  Because dogs are her favorite animal, she has a dog named Buckwheat.  Sushi and her mom’s spaghetti are Miss Ford’s favorite foods. Green is her favorite color.

The best part of Miss Ford’s job is helping kids to grow and mature, both spiritually and academically.  She can’t wait to help with the spring musical this year!
