As principal of NBCS, the faculty and I like to make sure that the children entrusted to our care enjoy school and have fun as they learn. Beyond that enjoyment, though, is the serious task of educating the whole child including the physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental realms. It is a task that we continually monitor and refine on a daily basis within our classrooms, on the playground, and in the simple interactions that happen each day.
As a parent, you can probably remember the first time you held your son or daughter and realized they truly were a gift from God. What a challenge that simple statement becomes as we recognize that we will be held accountable as to how we handle that responsibility! There is no easy, one size fits all formula that we can apply and be guaranteed success since all families and all children are uniquely different. The immensity of that task, though, means it cannot be put off until later, for a child’s value system has largely been developed by the time the teen years arrive.
At NBCS, it is our desire to be a part of the shaping process. For those families that are looking for a Christian education that will help reinforce the values that are already being taught at home, NBCS has much to offer. Your children will become our kids, and like potters working with clay, we will help you gently form and mold them into vessels for the Master’s use.
